A view of the bus used for interior shots
When movies are shot on a bus and the driver is played by an
actor, who actually drives the bus? Here's the answer: the real driver
sits on the roof. This specially rebuilt bus comes with not just a
driver's seat on the roof, but also a scaffold, from which lights and
other equipment can be hung. Once this particular bus was rigged up for
the shoot of "Riding The Bus With My Sister," it became so cumbersome
that the original location of Toronto had to be changed. The shoot was
then moved to Hamilton, an hour away.
