Hear Rachel speak about sibling issues on Voices In The Family
In November 2004, Rachel was interviewed in a live forum by Dr. Dan Gottlieb for his radio program “Voices In The Family,” which airs on FM 90.9, WHYY-FM, the NPR affiliate in Philadelphia. The focus was on being a sibling of a person with special needs. Also contributing to the discussion was Dr. Todd Harris, the Principal at Devereux CARES program, a school for children with autism. Audience members included adult siblings as well as parents. You can listen to this one-hour broadcast by going to http://www.whyy.org/91FM/Voices200411.html, and then scrolling down the page to “11/29/04, Siblings of Special Needs Children.”
Hear Beth and Rachel on NPR
National Public Radio aired a ten-minute story about Beth and the buses on Weekend Edition Sunday on Sunday morning, Jan. 5. The reporter, Joe Shapiro, rode with Beth and me for a day, and then put together a story that includes not only us, but also several bus drivers. Most of the piece actually unfolds on the buses. If you’ve been wanting to hear what we all sound like, introduce a friend to our bus adventures, or just join us once again on our journey, please tune in.
