Dear Friends,
If you're like most people, you're very, very busy. I'm sure there are many times when you wished you could get together with friends or your book club to discuss a great read or maybe go meet an author – yet you put it off because you're too busy.
But there's no question that we love to spend time talking about books – and all the more so when a book has stirred up many important emotions and memories. People who have read The House on Teacher's Lane: A Memoir of Home, Healing, and Love's Hardest Questions have told me that it has sparked thought-provoking conversation they couldn't wait to share with others.
I would love to help you and your friends or book club make this happen, and in a really fun and easy way, maybe over brunch, or wine and cheese – and no matter where you live. I can do this through The Rachel Simon @ Home Book Tour.
Here's how it works:
If you live in the Delaware or Philadelphia region, and can arrange to have twelve or more friends gather in someone's home, I will visit for free, schedule permitting. All participants need to purchase the book in advance.
If you live farther away, and can arrange to have six or more friends gather in someone's home, I will visit via phone or computer, for free. All participants need to purchase the book in advance. How does this work? If you have a webcam and sign up with Skype (a free service), I will visit via a video call. Then your group can gather around your computer, and everyone will be able to see and talk to me. If you don't have a webcam, I will visit via your speaker phone, and everyone will be able to talk with me.
If you and a large group want me to do a keynote speech or other major presentation, or if significant travel is required, please contact me to discuss schedule and fees.
To start the ball rolling so you can participate in The Rachel Simon @ Home Book Tour, please email me at rachelsimon2002@yahoo.com, and put “Rachel Simon @ Home Book Tour” in the subject line.
This book tour will continue under these terms until further notice.
I remain available for keynote speeches and talks pertaining to Riding The Bus With My Sister. For information about my schedule and fees for these appearances, contact Marc Goldman at marc@damonbrooks.com.
I hope to see you soon!
Warmest wishes on your own life journey,
Rachel
